The 10th annual Nordic Folkloric Festival - Nordfest - will be held in Canberra for the first time. Nordfest is an annual celebration of folk culture from the Nordic countries.
Nordfest 2009 will be a real meeting of cultures with Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish traditions represented. It is a unique meeting place for anyone interested or active in Nordic folk traditions in Australia and typically gathers around 70 national and international dancers, singers and musicians into a two-day affair spanning two venues with concerts, major performances, workshops and more.
