
The inaugural Nordic Festival will be held on May 22-23, 2010 in Warburton, about 1.5 hours drive east of Melbourne. The festival is a not-for-profit event organised by the Warburton Chamber of Commerce & Industry in consultation with local Nordic communities.
The township of Warburton is located by the Yarra River and is surrounded by mountains and tall forests.
The aims of the festival are to introduce Australians to the Nordic culture, celebrate multiculturalism and to offer an event for Australian Nordic community to come together and have fun.
The organizers are offering special deals on tours and accommodation.
