Finns are often known for being active members of associations. There are several Finnish clubs and societies in Australia, with the Australasian Federation of Finnish Societies and Clubs Inc as their umbrella organisation. Finnish churches have many ministers in different parts of the country. Finnish Schools operate actively in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. The schools offer a versatile and interesting curriculum and familiarise children and young people with the Finnish language and culture.
Approximately 40 Finnish businesses operate or have their own offices in Australia. In addition, over 100 Finnish enterprises have Australian representatives.
